The West Lakes is a peaceful and tranquil area of Cumbria offering the visitor beautiful fells, a varied landscape of pine forest and rugged mountains plus Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Lake , Loweswater and the truly magnificent Wastwater.

Scafell Pike has the highest point in England, Wasdale Head has the smallest Church and Wastwater is the deepest Lake.

Cockermouth is a vibrant market town with antique shops, restaurants, including an award winning vegetarian establishment, traditional pubs and modern bars.
Several places of historical interest including a William Wordsworth residence and the popular Jennings brewery are open to the public.

Loweswater is a very scenic area with a church sat aside the banks of the river, Ennerdale is a great place to take a walk  around the Lake which is very peaceful, scenic and is used as a reservoir.

All the way up to the Eskdale valley you will find quaint and traditional villages and towns  set amongst some of the County`s best landscape and most challenging mountains.
